Love this! I am in Scotland - home tomorrow night. My friend, Jacqui and I are going to Turkey in September for 19 days - five of them in Istanbul. We must talk when I get home. Thanks for this. Val Chappel
Turkey is probably my hands down favorite place on our beautiful planet to visit/live. History, present and the future in just the right balance for me. If I ever had to leave the US and the SF Bay Area to live in a city somewhere else, Istanbul would be my first choice. And how's about those Cappadocia hot air balloons, eh? Even the thrilling early jeep ride arrival to the launch site before dawn, seeing through dust and the dawning light hundreds of multi-colored balloons on their sides filling with shooting dragon fires, people scrambling.... then the serenity of the flight and magic landscape unfolding..... amazing unforgettable experience. Thank you for reminding me Dallas! Love the blog! Don't stop!
